it's all about the story

yesterday afternoon i got to meet 3 generations of a wonderful family. we took a few pictures at their house, then made our way over to a local park for more.

they have four children of their own,

but a neighbor's grandson is also considered part of their clan.

grandma & grandpa came along to complete the picture.

as the afternoon passed, we talked about how pictures really do tie generations together - those who knew each other and lived together, but more importantly, the generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who won't experience each other.

pictures tell stories themselves, but they also remind and inspire us to tell them, to relive the laughter, the hardships, the adventures, and the love.
you know, you've done it, whether you intended to or not.

so you'll fully understand that when i started processing these early this morning, i couldn't help but smile and even laugh out loud at certain points. just imagine the conversations that will take place as children, grandchildren, and great-grand children browse through these!

grandma used to be a professional dancer!

now, she's just busy training for her next heavy weight boxing title :)

and being the family comedian!

looks like they've been paying attention!

and now for some individual shots......

lastly, for mom & dad, trying to squeeze a little romance in with all these kids is sometimes impossible......

...especially when they all yell "EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" if you try and steal a kiss!

no matter the characters or the setting, this family's got a fabulous story! thanks guys for letting me help tell it!

a girl, her brother, and a dog

i've been swamped with my "other jobs" this week, and only have time to post a few.

last weekend on one of the MOST beautiful days of the year, i drove to the mountains to meet this vivacious little lady,

her big brother,

and her dog.

she was as sweet as they come, but as children will be children, once she discovered the fountain, well.......

luckily mom brought a change of clothes!!
